Join us for an avian adventure at the Teller Wildlife Refuge Spring Ecology Camp. Campers will learn about birds, build nests, and calls. We will have a mixture of nature art and ecology to learn about the exciting world of birds. We will also use binoculars for a bird hike.
Come dressed for about an hour of outside activity that may include wet and muddy places. We will have a nature snack halfway through camp.
Meet the Director
Amanda Bestor grew up in Wisconsin where she received her B.S. in Natural Resource Management with an emphasis in Environmental Education and Interpretation. After college she spent some years working as an outdoor educator with students in pre-k-12. Amanda and her husband moved to Montana in 2003 and fell in love with the Bitterroot Valley. She can’t believe she gets to live in a place where people vacation. Amanda went on to receive her teaching certification and Master’s degree and has worked as a teacher for the past 12 years. She currently teaches 5th grade science and language arts and enjoys getting her students out on Teller Wildlife Refuge each year for ecology adventures.
