Stewardship Day

The Teller Wildlife Refuge is hosting its annual Stewardship Day celebration on Saturday April 27th at the Teller Slack Barn in Corvallis. Community volunteers of all ages are welcome to work on a variety of outdoor projects that benefit the conservation and wildlife habitat on the 1300 acre refuge.

All volunteers are encouraged to contact the Teller office to register and select an available project. Following the work portion of the event, all participants will gather at the Teller Slack Barn at noon for a hot chili and cornbread lunch. Please join Teller to make this year’s event one to remember while giving a little back to Mother Nature!

Teller Youth Conservation Leadership Council Introductory Meeting

Teller Wildlife Refuge’s mission to Inspire, Educate and Demonstrate Conservation in Action will have little impact unless we engage the spirit of conservation in the next generation. To further our impact on local youth, we are excited to introduce the Teller Youth Conservation Leadership Council. The Council, open to youth ages 14-18, will meet every other month at Teller to hear from conservation partners, develop projects and enhance leadership skills.

Join us for our Teller Youth Conservation Leadership Council Informational Meeting on Thursday, February 21st at 6pm to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

Winter Ecology Camp

Winter is a wonderful time to take a closer look at the landscape around us and to observe the changes that are happening, especially in relation to survival. Join us for a discovery of winter animals, seasonal changes, and adaptations. This camp will be a mixture of outdoor and indoor games, activities to learn about winter ecology, and some nature-themed art. Students will learn about animal tracking and learn how to make a felted animal or bird that they can take home.
