| Teller Volunteers contribute significantly to our mission of conservation, education and recreation. Volunteers support Teller activities at every level, including conservation service projects, field trips, event planning, creating displays, gardening, construction, administrative assistance, and a variety of other projects throughout the year. There are many different ways to get involved, and your interests and talents are vital to our success.

Volunteer Opportunities
Greetings from the Teller Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest—we couldn't accomplish all that we do without you!
Following is a list of Teller volunteer projects planned for 2007. Some of the projects are ongoing; some have dates to be announced (TBA). Additional projects will be added to the list as they are developed. Please contact the Teller Office or email amy@tellerwildlife.org to sign up or for more information.
We appreciate the dedication and support of Teller Volunteers—and can only accomplish these many efforts with your generous participation.
Volunteer Projects Overview 2007
Conservation—Stewardship Projects
- Weed Removal—there is something for everyone, from Houndstongue to Yellow Flag Iris—contact us if you can lend a hand!
- Fence Removal
- NFF Weed Removal Project, involves weed ID, photo point monitoring (spring, summer)
- Riparian Vegetation Enhancement Project (July 13-16)
Education
- Assist with School Service Projects—project setup and service days (spring and fall)
- Assist with Youth Hunter Mentor Program (summer/fall)
Recreation
- Trail maintenance, trailside weed removal—projects to be announced (spring, summer)
- Hunting Blinds—projects to be announced (summer, fall)
Events
- Earth Day, April 21
- TnT Celebration, June 16
- Bill’s Bird Count, June 23
- Volunteer Recognition Day, TBA

Administrative/Office Support

- If you are an experienced volunteer on Teller projects, we are seeking lead volunteers to direct projects—thank you!

Volunteer Hours
Please help us track the volunteer hours you contribute to the Teller. This helps us greatly in our record keeping and in seeking funds for Volunteer efforts. To download a timesheet, click here, or you can pick one up from our office.
All volunteers must complete and sign a Teller release form each year. |
